Sometimes beautiful things happen unexpectedly.
I was having lunch on campus today and next to me were sitting two college students. One of them was American and Jewish, and the other was Saudi and Muslim. The two guys were explaining each other the meaning of their respective holidays, the traditions and the customs both here and in their home country. They were interested, curious to learn about the other religion. There was no prejudice, no preconceived idea, but simply eagerness to absorb new information.
I couldn’t help it but smile, this is what religion should look like.
